Hi, my name is Jacob Heap
I’m a 15-year-old racing driver rising through the ranks, with the aim of racing in BTCC (British Tour Car Championship). I started karting when I was 8 years old, and by the time I was 13 I had won a lot of trophies to my name.
To prove my talent, I attended the JSCC (Junior Saloon Car Championship) scholarship last February and did really well – coming runner up, just missing out by one point to win a fully funded season in the JSCC Championship. I bought a car before the scholarship, but as the car was not going to be ready for the start of the 2020 championship the JSCC family kindly offered to loan me a car to use for the first two rounds.
The first round at Cadwell Park, I made a huge impression when for the first time in the car on free practice I qualified 9th out of 24 drivers. Unfortunately, due to engine problems I slipped in qualifying. In both races I had a couple of tricky starts, but I didn’t drop my head and came from 24th to 13th in both races.
Unfortunately, Croft didn’t go as well. In free practice I had the pace but in qualifying I had lots of understeer and the car wasn’t set up for my style of driving but I still managed to qualify 14th out of 24 drivers. When it came to the 2 races, if you look at my Facebook you will see that in my videos the first corner was very upsetting as I got taken out both times through no fault of my own which ended my weekends racing.
I am proud to say that I am an ambassador for HRX.
HRX is one of the industry leaders in Racewear. They’ve offered me a big opportunity to endorse their suits by offering me their ambassador program, which will not only allow me to have a public image with them but also allow me to promote my other sponsors as well.

Carbon Neutral Racing
We are very concerned about the environment and motor racing isn’t known for being Eco friendly. Nevertheless, I’ve calculated my fuel consumption for the 2021 season and managed to offset my carbon footprint by planting trees with the Carbon Reduction Project. I plan to do as much as I can to push this great cause in the motor racing community.
